DSC U4 Program
In accordance with GYSA’s addition of the under-4 age group
to recreational soccer, Dacula Soccer Club will be offering a new U4 soccer
program starting in the fall 2010. This program will replace the current U4
(Soccer Starts) program at DSC.
This year, the U4 rec season will be 8 weeks long and will
meet once a week (Saturday or Sunday) for 50 minutes. For the first 3 weeks of
the season, players will actively participate under the direction of the DSC
staff, with the help of a parent or family member. Starting at week 4, each
session will be split, with 25 minutes of soccer activities, (like the first 3
weeks), followed by 25 minutes playing 3v3 games, using the “New Ball” method,
under the direction of the DSC staff.
The purpose of this program is to introduce kids to soccer
in a fun, laid back environment. The program allows kids to ease into organized
activities, under the supervision of a family member and direction of a
qualified soccer instructor/coach. Players will also be introduced to the “New
Ball” method, which is in accordance with Georgia Youth Soccer Association and
US Youth Soccer.
