DSC U4 Program
We are
excited to kickoff the Soccer Starts season. For many of you, this is your
first experience with recreation soccer, while some may be seasoned veterans.
Regardless of your experience, we want your U4 player's first experiences with
organized soccer to be great ones!
Thanks to
all of you for your patience as we prepare for the season. I know many of you are eager to plan out your season and get started,
so here is the information you've been waiting for!
1.
Start Date - The U4's will meet for a total of 8 sessions:
-
9/10, 9/17, 9/24, 10/1, 10/15, 10/22, 10/29, 11/5
-
11/12
will be a Make-up day
2.
Time - The U4 player pool will be split up into 2 groups with one group
starting at 3:30 and the second group at 4:30. Assigned group times will be
emailed to all parents prior to the first session.
3.
Fees - The $95 covers a t-shirt, medal, BALL (new this season!), state
fees, field maintenance and pays for the staff coaches.
4.
Sessions - Each session will run approximately an hour. Please remember
players will be pooled and will not be on a set team. For the first 2-3 weeks,
players will participate in an introduction of different games and activities.
For the remaining weeks, the sessions will be split, with approximately half the
session spent on games, skills and activities and the remaining time scrimmaging
3v3, using the "New Ball Method."

Staff - The U4 Soccer Starts program is ran by Coach Ben Roberts and his
coaching team. His staff does a great job of bringing the game of soccer to the
little ones!
Frequently
asked questions:
1. Do I
need to order a uniform for my U4? NO! Players will receive a t-shirt they can
wear to each session.
2. Will
my U4 have a coach? There is not set teams/coaches at U4. Although, we will
have 3-4 staff coaches each week running the sessions.
3. Will
there be practice during the week? No. U4 only meets once a week on Saturdays.
4. What
do we need to bring to each session? Every player needs to bring a ball, size
3. Each player also needs to wear shin guards. No cleats are allowed, so
either sneakers or turf shoes are recommended. Ball and t-shirt can be picked up
prior to the first session. Please plan on arriving early to the first session
to pick up your ball and shirt.
Thanks
again for your support of Dacula Soccer Club. We hope that your U4's first
soccer experiences will be the first of many more to come. If you have any
other questions, please let me know.
Yours in
Soccer,
