Recreational Soccer
The volunteer coach is a very
significant part of the Dacula Soccer Club. The children you
will be coaching develop physically and mentally at
different rates. This will create a range of ability levels
that you should be cognizant of as you prepare your
practices. In addition please spend some time on the
following web site to aid in age-specific training sessions
for your team (http://usyouthsoccer.org/).
USYSA places monthly training sessions on their website.
Click on “Coaching Connection” to find the practices.

Dacula Soccer Club is excited about the
recreational program and offers many ways for the volunteer
coach to become more knowledgeable in soccer coaching
techniques. Please ask for assistance and input whenever you
feel the need.

Some of our Programs:
Coaching Courses: Coaching courses are offered
year-round through the State association. We hold some of
the classes at Rabbit Hill Park for convenience. Log onto
www.gasoccer.org for more information. Click on coaches
and then click on courses. In addition, we hold a coaching
clinic for any interested coaches (especially new coaches)
at the beginning of each season.
“Guest Coaching”: Have a DSC
coach conduct a training session with your team, serving as
a “guest coach” for the players and a “coaching mentor” for
the coach. COACHES SHOULD PLAN TO PARTICIPATE! Contact
Mike Hogan
to schedule a time
Coaching Clinics: Our staff will
be offering coaching clinics throughout the
season. Please take the opportunity to observe a
training session. All
sessions will be followed by a question/answer period.
Technical Training: Friday
nights are our technical training nights. We will be
offering technical training for all ages of Recreational
players.
description of training sessions offered.
Game Observation and Assistance:
DSC coaches observe games of all age groups as much as
possible. We hope we are visible, approachable and can serve
as an unobtrusive source of information and advice. We are
not there to pick faults…be brave and ask us questions! Our
goal is to monitor all players for development and we need
your input and help. |
